Bridge Your Network: Seamlessly Convert Fiber to Copper
Unlock the full potential of your network with the TP-Link MC200CM Gigabit Multi-Mode Media Converter. This high-performance device is engineered to convert a 1000BASE-SX multi-mode fiber optic signal to a 1000BASE-T copper Ethernet signal, and vice versa. It's the perfect solution for extending your Gigabit Ethernet network over a significant distance, far beyond the limitations of standard copper cabling. Whether you're connecting buildings, floors, or remote network segments, the MC200CM provides a reliable, high-speed, and cost-effective bridge.
High-Speed, Long-Range Connectivity
Designed to meet IEEE 802.3ab and 802.3z standards, the MC200CM ensures compatibility and top-tier performance. It operates at a wavelength of 850nm for both transmitting and receiving data, allowing you to extend your network connection up to 550 meters (0.55km) using multi-mode fiber optic cable. This converter works in full-duplex mode at a full wire-speed forwarding rate of 1000Mbps for both its fiber (FX) and copper (TX) ports, guaranteeing that your network's speed is never compromised.
Flexible and User-Friendly Design
The MC200CM is built for convenience and flexibility. It can be used as a standalone device right out of the box or installed into a TP-Link 14-slot rackmount chassis (TL-MC1400) for managed deployment. Key features include Auto MDI/MDIX for the RJ45 port, which eliminates the need for crossover cables, and front-panel LED indicators for easy monitoring of power and network activity (PWR, LINK, RX). A configurable switch allows you to set the fiber port to either Force or Auto transfer mode for enhanced compatibility.
