Shield Your Outdoor Network from Nature's Fury

Introducing the Ubiquiti Ethernet Surge Protector Gen 2, a crucial safeguard for your outdoor networking equipment. This device is expertly engineered to defend your valuable Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) and non-PoE devices from the damaging effects of electrostatic discharge (ESD) and power surges. For operators of WISP networks and installers of outdoor cameras or access points, the ETH-SP-G2 provides an essential, cost-effective layer of protection, ensuring network reliability and longevity.

Advanced Protection, Seamless Integration

While all Ubiquiti® airMAX® devices feature robust built-in ESD protection, the ETH-SP-G2 adds a critical second layer of defense. It protects network devices with connection speeds up to 1 Gbps. Damaging electrical transients are absorbed by the surge protector and safely discharged into the ground, away from your sensitive equipment. Its two passive, surge-protected RJ45 connections ensure maximum compatibility across a wide range of devices.

Plug-and-Play Installation

The ETH-SP-G2 is designed for fast and straightforward installation. Simply connect the protector in-line between your network devices and attach it to a grounded pole or structure to fortify your network. For comprehensive protection and to meet local code requirements, it is recommended to install two units: one near the outdoor device (like a CPE) and another at the building's entry point.
