Engineered for Efficiency and Robust Performance
Every detail of the airFiber AF-24, from its silicon chip to its innovative split-antenna architecture, was meticulously designed by Ubiquiti's R&D team. It features an innovative dual-antenna architecture with separate, integrated transmit (TX) and receive (RX) antennas. This design eliminates the RF losses commonly found in systems where the RF signal is compromised by switches and filters, resulting in a more robust link budget, a better noise figure, and higher transmit power efficiency. The airFiber AF-24 supports both FDD (Frequency Division Duplexing) and HDD (Hybrid Division Duplexing) modes, allowing for synchronous data transmission with virtually no latency.
Plug-and-Play Deployment in the License-Free 24 GHz Band
The airFiber AF-24 operates in the worldwide, license-free 24 GHz frequency band, allowing for deployment almost anywhere without the need for special permits or licensing costs (subject to local regulations). The system is designed for easy installation; a single person can mount the unit, and a two-person crew can efficiently install and align a complete link.
