High-Performance, Compact Wireless Networking

Experience a powerful and compact solution for your point-to-point (PtP) and point-to-multipoint (PtMP) networking needs with the Ubiquiti airMAX Loco M5. This unit is engineered for excellent performance in outdoor environments, operating in the less congested 5GHz frequency band to avoid common wireless interference. It delivers real outdoor throughput of over 150 Mbps and is capable of creating reliable links over distances of 10+ km. The Loco M5 is an extremely versatile and economical device to deploy for bridging networks, connecting remote buildings, or extending internet access.

Advanced Technology for Optimal Performance

The Loco M5 leverages Ubiquiti's innovative airMAX TDMA protocol, which dramatically improves network performance and scalability. Unlike standard Wi-Fi protocols, the Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) protocol allows each client to send and receive data using pre-designated time slots managed by an intelligent AP controller, which eliminates hidden node collisions and maximizes airtime efficiency. This results in lower latency, higher throughput, and enhanced reliability for carrier-class links. Featuring 2x2 MIMO technology and a newly designed 13dBi dual-polarity antenna, the Loco M5 provides a strong and focused signal.

Robust, All-Weather Design & Intuitive Management

Built to withstand harsh outdoor conditions, the Ubiquiti airMAX Loco M5 features a UV-stabilized plastic enclosure. Its compact and lightweight form factor allows for easy and discreet installation using the included pole mounting kit. Power over Ethernet (PoE) simplifies installation by allowing both power and data to be carried over a single Ethernet cable, with the necessary 24V, 0.5A PoE adapter included. The device is powered by Ubiquiti's user-friendly airOS firmware, which provides an intuitive interface for configuration, monitoring, and network management.
