Power and Precision for Your Small Office or Home Network
The Edimax GS-3005P is a web-smart switch designed to enhance your network's performance and efficiency, especially for small office and home office environments. This compact and powerful switch features five gigabit Ethernet ports, four of which are PoE+ enabled, allowing you to power devices like IP cameras, VoIP phones, and wireless access points directly through the Ethernet cable. This eliminates the need for extra power outlets and simplifies installation.
Extended Reach with Long Range PoE
A standout feature of the GS-3005P is its ability to extend PoE power delivery up to 200 meters, double the distance of standard PoE switches. This provides greater flexibility in placing your PoE-enabled devices. For these extended distances, the switch operates at 10Mbps and can still deliver up to 30 watts of power per port.
Intelligent and Robust Power Delivery
With a total power budget of 72W, the GS-3005P can supply up to 30W per port. The switch is compliant with IEEE 802.3af/at standards and features auto-detection of powered devices, ensuring that only compatible devices receive power. It also includes power backfeed protection to safeguard the PoE ports from damage. The smart fault-detection system protects against over or under current and voltage.
Smart Network Management
The GS-3005P is a web-smart switch, offering a range of intelligent features for improved network efficiency and security. Through its web-based interface, you can configure VLANs for better network segmentation and security, and utilize QoS to prioritize traffic for smoother performance. It also supports IGMP Snooping to optimize multicast traffic for streaming applications.
