Maximize Your Fiber Optic Infrastructure

Unlock the full potential of your existing fiber network with the MikroTik CWDM-MUX8A, an 8-port passive MUX/DEMUX module. This powerful unit allows you to combine up to eight separate fiber links into a single strand, dramatically increasing your data capacity without the high cost of laying new fiber. Coarse Wavelength-Division Multiplexing (CWDM) technology enables multiple data channels on the same fiber cabling, providing a scalable and cost-effective solution for long-distance installations. At the destination, the module seamlessly demultiplexes the combined signal back into eight individual links.

Enhanced Flexibility with Expansion Port

This upgraded version of the popular CWDM module features a versatile EXP/1310 expansion port. This key addition allows you to use standard 1310nm SFP, SFP+, SFP28, QSFP, and QSFP28 modules (up to 100 Gbps) alongside the eight CWDM channels, offering unparalleled flexibility in your network design. You can create up to eight independent links, mixing 1.25Gbps SFP modules for runs up to 40km and 10Gbps SFP+ modules for up to 10km, all over a single fiber cable.

Passive, Reliable, and Easy to Deploy

As a completely passive device, the CWDM-MUX8A requires no power, reducing electricity consumption and simplifying your setup. Its robust design ensures reliable performance with minimal maintenance, making it an ideal, set-and-forget solution for service providers and enterprises looking to expand their network capacity efficiently. The unit is designed for a standard 1U rackmount, and two units can be mounted together using the optional CWDM-CHASSIS-2 for higher density applications.
