Eliminate the distance limitations of standard Ethernet cabling with the MikroTik GPeR (Gigabit Passive Ethernet Repeater). This powerful and compact device is the ultimate solution for extending your network reach in high-rise buildings, multi-apartment complexes, and large campus areas where long cable runs are a challenge. The GPeR allows you to extend an Ethernet cable by an additional 100-150 meters for a standard network device, and even further when linking multiple GPeR units.
Unprecedented Network Extension
The GPeR is more than just a simple repeater. It's a key component of MikroTik's Gigabit Passive Ethernet Network (GPEN) concept, designed to provide the speed and reliability of a GPON installation at a fraction of the cost. By daisy-chaining up to seven GPeR units, you can extend a single powered Ethernet run up to an incredible 1,500 meters, delivering connectivity to the most remote locations. The maximum distance between two GPeR devices can be up to 210 meters, depending on the quality of your CAT6 cable.
PoE Passthrough Power
The GPeR is powered by and passes through PoE (Power over Ethernet). It supports both 802.3af/at PoE and passive PoE input, making it incredibly versatile for various network setups. It can then pass that power along to the next device in the chain. For end-point devices that do not require PoE, the power passthrough can be easily disabled by manually removing the internal jumpers.
Built for Demanding Environments
Engineered to perform, the GPeR operates reliably in extreme temperatures, with a tested ambient temperature range of -40°C to 70°C. While designed for indoor use, it can be installed outdoors using the optional IP68-rated waterproof enclosure (sold separately), ensuring your network extension is protected from the elements.
